Frequently Asked Questions
How are the pages counted?
When you order a certified translation, the most significant variable is how the pages of the document are calculated. The number of physical pages in your original document is not what is being counted, instead it is the total word count.

Each page may contain up to 250 words. Pages may be letter size (8.5″ x 11″), A4 or smaller and one sided.

For example: A project with 2 physical pages that each contain 500 words (1,000 words total), is calculated as 4 pages (1,000 words ÷ 250 = 4 pages).

Is there a minimum fee?
Yes, we normally chanrge a minimum of $50 per order. That's happening because management costs can often prevail over the actual cost of translation. Excellent service providers reveal the same amount of effort for small projects as they would for larger ones. However, language service providers need to set a minimum price to manage those overheads to optimally operating.

In addition, group documents with a low word count to avoid minimum charges and cut translation costs.
How long will it take?
For most common languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, German, Ukrainian and Spanish you can expect to receive:

  • A 1-3 page translation in 1 business day
  • A 4-10 page translation in 4 business days
  • An 11-20 page translation in 6 business days
  • 20+ pages in 6+ business days
For orders in other language pairs, our team will review your documents and provide you with the delivery date once you place your order.
Can you expediate my translation?
Yes, we apply a surcharge of 25-50% to expedited translations and it is a service we offer for most common language combinations.

With expedited service we can reduce the delivery time by approximately 50%. If your document is only 1 page, we can often provide same day service.
Can I get a discount?
All our translators use professional CAT software that helps you save money if the text you'd like to translate contains repetitions of similar sentences or segments. We use a fuzzy match grid, a method for calculating discounts on fuzzy matches. When we translate a file in a CAT tool, it'll take less time if we've translated a similar file in the past and it's saved in our translation memory.

A fuzzy match is a segment in a source text similar to an element in a translation memory. It's only a partial match, so that it will require editing. The amount of editing needed is reflecting in the percentage. For example, a 60% match will probably need complete rewriting, whereas a 99% match may only need a comma added.

We usually apply the following fuzzy match grid to our rates:

Perfect matches and context matches - 20% of the price
100% matches and repetitions - 25% of the price
95-99% - 50% of the price
85-94% - 90% of the price
No match and up to 84% - 100% of the price

Moreover, all high-volume projects over 10,000 words are eligible for an additional discount.
What's the difference between a certified and a standard translation?
A certified translation is a word-for-word translation required for official use by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), universities, colleges, state or federal institutions and courts. A certified translation includes a certificate issued on our corporate letterhead signed by the translator and a Translation 911 representative in PDF format.

A standard translation is a high-quality, professional translation of documents or text-based files delivered in an editable Word file. If you require a different format (pages, rtf, txt) just let us know when placing your order using the comments field.
How do you ensure quality?
We use four eye principle in every translation we do. That is, after a translator finishes his work, the text is always checked by another linguist to make sure it's error-free. In addition, we apply QA software to spot little flaws that could escape human's eye.

Moreover, our translators have years of experience in the translation industry and specialize in different areas of service. Many of them have graduate degrees and certificates in fields such as marketing, law and engineering. We're very selective and accept less than 10% of the translators that apply.

How do you keep my information secure?

We accept all major credit cards, Square, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay, PayPal and Google Pay.
Is my payment safe?
Yes. We never receive, store or keep your credit card information. Your credit card information is processed externally by Stripe. The same company that manages payments for companies such as Uber, Lyft, Target, Blue Apron, SquareSpace, Slack and Spotify (to name a few).
